The DSM device allows an incoming pulse signal to be sent to two separate systems or data loggers in parallel. This is ideal if you do not want to modify the existing system, but need to include additional device(s) in the data acquisition.
Operating principle
- It has one active input powered by a battery. Two transistor outputs provide parallel transmission of pulses to two independent channels.
- Signal splitting is lossless
Applications
- Data sharing for water meters, heat meters, gas meters
- Integration of remote reading systems into existing infrastructure
- Establishing temporary data links for testing and monitoring purposes
