Challenge

• Maintaining a vacuum pump system requires significant resources because:
• The system consumes too much electricity,
• Vacuum valve failure is detected late, resulting in long-term leaks,
• Failures are difficult to predict, leading to unexpected failures.

Solution

• With the implementation of the WaterScope IoT data acquisition and wireless data transmission system, the following measuring points are monitored:
  • Vacuum tank pressure readings in the engine room
  • Vacuum and control pressure measurements at the pump valves
  • Monitoring of valve openings

On average, the system can be installed in every 5th to 10th vacuum valve manhole and on the vacuum tank of the machine room. Continuous data collection is available via a customized, secure dashboard interface on PC and mobile.
