S2N Smart Buoy on the backwater of the Danube!

Within the confines of a jointly created project with BOKU Austria (Universität für Bodenkultur Wien), we have placed two S2N Smart Buoys in the Lobau quarter of Vienna, in 2 different parts of the backwater of the river Danube. The buoys will continuously measure water temperature, pH, dissolved oxygen, redox potential and conductivity data, which then will be transmitted to our central server, where BOKU’s experts will be able to reach and analyze. Network access is provided by our gateway, installed on the steeple of a nearby village church. The project will last 2 years and closes with a joint publication about the microbial dynamics of river bank filtration.
